Bio

April Dickens is a graduate of Pitt Community College graduating with honors and with an Associate in Arts Degree. She is currently an Art and Design major at Barton College and expects to graduate in the Spring of 2014. She is a museum assistant at the Rocky Mount Children's Museum and Science Center. She is an active volunteer participant with the Adopt-A-Street and Adopt-A-Highway program honoring the memory of her grandfathers. Outside of school, April enjoys acting,working with children, writing, drawing, and is an active musician for her church and area churches in her community.

April has appeared in various shows, movies and theatre plays such as One Tree Hill and The Dempsey Sisters starring Cymphonique Miller, Lynne Whitfield and Denyce Lawton. April has also appeared as a lead role in the stage play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.
